The
Fort Washington Pool Association relies on volunteerism to exist and
operate. Other than providing compensation for its lifeguard crew, the time
and labor needed to operate and maintain the pool and property is
accomplished by the devotion and caring of its shareholders and membership.
It is this specifically that gives our pool its character, charm and family
oriented community base. There are many things to do for our association to be successful year in
and year out and we depend on the generosity of our membership to provide
the skills, energy and devotion. T he needed volunteers can provide their labor, leadership, knowledge,
friendship, and supervision of children so others can volunteer... anything
really. What's important is to have as many members join in the fun and get
to know one another. The joy of volunteerism is in the fellowship and
friendships gained, so come on out. There's something for everyone young
and old to do. Furthermore, there's money in it for
you. Members who contribute 10 hours of service to help get the pool
ready for the season prior to Opening Day will receive a $75 rebate on their membership fees, so, as you can see,
there's really no excuse for you to not help out where you can. Besides, the operating and maintaining of the property and facilities, you
can also help with our swim team the Sharks. It takes over 30 volunteers to run a swim meet
and you'll get to see the children having fun and furthering the Sharks
great tradition of sportsmanship and aquatic competition. If you would like to help Contact Us or reach
out to your fellow members and come on down to the pool. Also, look for the
FWPA's email messages requesting volunteers for more details. Lastly, thank you very much for everything you do. The Fort Washington Pool
Association is really a group of people who care about their community, not
just a piece of property and a hole in the ground filled with water that
needs to be maintained. It is you and your presence that make our
association special.

Bulletins
As a bonus to members, we haveTRIPPLED the New Member Referral Incentive Fee to$75.00 (!!!) for every new member that joins and gives your name as the person recruiting them to join. Increased membership is the best way to avoid dues and fee increases and still fund improvements and maintenance requirements around the pool.
After keeping the dues rates stable for the past three years, your Board of Directors has raised the dues this year, just a nominal $25.00. BUT, we're offering a new Early Bird Payment Incentive of $25.00 (discount from your dues) to all returning members with all dues and fees paid in full by May 15th.
