The board of directors
must be composed of nine shareholders of good standing and are elected at
the annual shareholder meeting in October. The board will create a
nominating committee prior to the general shareholder meeting to gather,
vet and present eligible nominees. Each of the board committees must be
chaired by a standing board member and may be composed of shareholders and
annual members in good standing. Furthermore, if a standing board committee
chairperson appoints a sub-committee to conduct pool business, the
sub-committee chairperson must be a shareholder but need not be one of the
nine elected board members. We encourage the participation of all eligible
members.
Board of Directors Meetings and Election
The Annual Shareholders Meeting is held in the month of
October and all shareholders are encouraged to attend. The FWPA board
nominating committee will inform the board and shareholders of the number
of board positions up for re-election, all nominations by September 15th of
each year. Additionally, nominations can be made from the floor during the
Annual Shareholder's Meeting.
If you're a shareholder in good standing and would like to be considered as
a nominee for the board of directors, please make your intentions known by
contacting the nominating committee chairperson or any current board
member. Lastly, every shareholder's voice and vote is needed, so be sure to
confirm that your share is in good standing by checking with the membership
chairperson. In the event that you can not attend the shareholder's meeting
to cast your vote personally, consider granting your proxy to another
trusted shareholder (see the Shareholder Proxy Form in the FWPA Documents
section).
FWPA board of directors meet regularly, on the first Monday of every month,
throughout the year and all shareholders are welcome to attend.

Bulletins
As a
bonus to members, we have TRIPPLED the New Member Referral
Incentive Fee to $75.00 (!!!) for
every new member that joins and gives your name as the person recruiting
them to join. Increased membership is the best way to avoid dues and fee increases and still fund improvements and maintenance
requirements around the pool.
After keeping the dues rates stable for the past three
years, your Board of Directors has raised the dues this year, just a
nominal $25.00. BUT, we're offering a new Early Bird Payment Incentive of $25.00 (discount from your dues) to all
returning members with all dues and fees paid in full by May
15th.
